Nguyễn Thị Thu Trang là giảng viên chính và nhà nghiên cứu ngành Khoa học Máy tính tại Trường Công nghệ Thông tin và Truyền thông (SoICT), Đại học Bách khoa Hà Nội (HUST). Bà nhận bằng Tiến sĩ Khoa học Máy tính năm 2015 tại Đại học Paris-Sud 11 (nay là Paris-Saclay) và LIMSI-CNRS (nay là LISN-CNRS), Cộng hòa Pháp. Hướng nghiên cứu của TS. Trang tập trung vào công nghệ tiếng nói và xử lý ngôn ngữ tự nhiên, bao gồm nhiều bài toán như tổng hợp tiếng nói, nhận dạng người nói, tổng hợp tiếng hát, nhận dạng tiếng nói tự động, phát hiện và chẩn đoán lỗi phát âm, nhận dạng cảm xúc trong tiếng nói, cũng như các hệ thống trợ lý ảo và chatbot. Bà đã công bố hơn 40 bài báo quốc tế chất lượng cao, đồng tác giả của một số sách xuất bản, và có hơn 20 năm kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực kỹ thuật phần mềm và trí tuệ nhân tạo. Bà là nhà sáng lập Vbee, startup về AI hội thoại (https://vbee.ai), cung cấp các ứng dụng thực tế như giải pháp tổng đài thông minh cho hàng trăm doanh nghiệp (ví dụ: Sacombank, MoMo, VietCredit) và các nền tảng AI Voice phục vụ hàng triệu người dùng và doanh nghiệp vừa và nhỏ (https://vbee.vn).

TS. Trang được vinh danh Giải thưởng Quả Cầu Vàng Quốc gia lĩnh vực CNTT năm 2009. Cùng với Vbee, bà tiếp tục đạt nhiều giải thưởng lớn khác như Giải Nhất Nhân tài Đất Việt 2018, VinTech Fund 2019, Giải thưởng Nữ sáng lập xuất sắc tại Startup Wheel 2020, Quán quân Grab Venture Ignite 2020, Giải thưởng Đặc biệt Tuổi Trẻ Start-up Award 2023 và Giải Nhất QVIC 2024.
