Profile
Dr. Vu Thi Huong Giang is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, School of Information and Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). She received her PhD in Information Technology from Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP), France, in 2008.
Working at the intersection of AI and software engineering, her research focuses on resilient, secure, and user-centric software systems. Her interests span AI-assisted software development; the engineering, integration, deployment, and operation of AI- and LLM-based systems and services; and secure DevOps and MLOps pipelines. She also applies machine learning and optimization methods to decision support for software project planning and risk management. These research directions contribute to digital transformation, the deployment of AI in AIoT and Edge AI environments, and applications in domains such as smart logistics.
She has published extensively in international and national journals, conference proceedings, and academic books. Beyond research and teaching, she serves as Deputy Head of the Department of Computer Science and Program Manager of the Vietnam–France Bachelor’s Program in Information Technology. She is also actively involved in national standardization activities as a member of several Vietnamese National Technical Committees for Standards, including TCVN/JTC 1 (Information Technology), TCVN/JTC 1/SC 35 (User Interfaces), TCVN/JTC 1/SC 27 (Information Security, Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection), and TCVN/TC 268 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
