The School of Information and Communications Technology always considers student affairs as one of its core tasks. The school always cares about and creates favorable conditions for students to study in the best environment, to conduct scientific research, to participate in Sports – Cultural movements and other social activities.
Outstanding student scientific research activities include:

1. Participate in research at Research Laboratories and Research Centers
Registration form: Students contact teachers at Research Laboratories, Research Centers (International Research Center on Artificial Intelligence, Navis Center, Cyber Security Center) or contact teachers whose research direction the students are interested in.
Interest:
– participate in projects and research topics.
– Work in a professional environment, well trained.
– be named in publications in leading journals and conferences if you have made contributions and achieved good results.
– receive monthly research funding if contributed.
– Work space is arranged at the Lab.
2. Programming competitions, Hackathons
School-level student informatics Olympiad selects amateur, professional, super cup teams, ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM ICPC) – international programming competition)
ICPC Vietnam qualifying rounds in the North, Central, South regions, national online, National Student Informatics Olympiad ICPC Asia Pacific qualifying round, ICPC World Final Hackathon.
The students of the School have won high prizes in these competitions every year. Specifically: participating in the final round of the world programming competition in 2019, 2020, 2021; winning the Gold Cup/Super Cup of the Vietnam Informatics Olympiad; first prize in the specialized and non-specialized groups at the National Informatics Olympiad; second place in the Asia-Pacific programming competition; champion of the Samsung code challenge in Vietnam.
Students of the School of Information Technology and Communications won first prize at the ICPC Asia-Pacific competition, Da Nang region in 2019.
The school’s delegation participated in the final round of the world programming competition.
Students of the School of Information Technology and Communications surpassed a series of strong teams from 25 leading universities in 10 countries in the Asian region to win the Second Runner-Up prize, the “First to Solve Problem A” prize for the team that solved problem A the earliest.

3. Scientific research student conference
The Student Scientific Research Conference is an annual event held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), with the participation of the School of Information and Communications Technology. The Student Scientific Research Conference is a playground to stimulate creative passion, helping students get acquainted with the challenges of a research career and the search for new knowledge.
