Profile
Assoc. Prof. Duc-Hau Le obtained his Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Ulsan, Republic of Korea, in 2012. He now leads the Bioinformatics Lab at the BK.AI Center, School of Information and Communications Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam. His research focuses on proposing computational methods for disease- and drug-related problems in personalized medicine and drug discovery, especially the identification of disease-associated biomarkers and the prediction of drug targets and drug response. In parallel, he has developed bioinformatics tools the research and biomedical application communities. So far, he has published more than sixty papers in well-recognized journals and conferences, most of which are in ISI-indexed journals. In addition, he has served as a member of program committees and a reviewer for prestigious international conferences and journals. Moreover, he is a principal investigator and a key member of several national/ministry-level projects. Notably, he is the principal investigator of the biggest genome project in Vietnam (i.e., building databases of genomic variants for the Vietnamese population, https://genome.vinbigdata.org).
