ELITECH PROGRAM<\/strong>
\nDATA SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a new and the first undergraduate program in Vietnam designed to meet the workforce demand in a pillar industry of the Fourth Industrial Revolution \u2013 Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The program is designed and taught by leading experts in Vietnam and abroad. 100% of courses are delivered in English, focusing on practical training and internships at major enterprises, aiming to train high-quality data scientists ready to meet the workforce requirements of Industry 4.0 in Vietnam and worldwide.<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n

The program aims to train highly qualified experts in data science and artificial intelligence (DS-AI scientists). The curriculum is modern and developed by top specialists in the DS-AI field from Vietnam and internationally. With an orientation towards producing experts, students will be equipped with solid academic knowledge, while also being provided with extended practical and experiential learning through research laboratories and at companies and corporations in the field of ICT, both domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n

In their final years, students will be mentored by DS-AI professionals from Vietnam and abroad, especially by experts and alums of the School of Information and Communication Technology currently working at leading multinational tech corporations such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. This mentorship helps students deepen their knowledge and develop professional and research skills to international standards, preparing them for the global job market and nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

The program\u2019s computing infrastructure for student practice includes a supercomputer, parallel computing systems with one of the top computational capacities in Vietnam and the region, and facilities provided through partnerships with major corporations such as Microsoft, IBM, etc. Students will gain hands-on experience with advanced data processing, computing technologies, and platforms.<\/p>\n

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AND FINANCIAL AID<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to scholarships and financial aid from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, DS-AI students with good academic results have the opportunity to receive merit-based scholarships from the Alumni Association \/ IT Business Association Scholarship Fund, or major companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, Vingroup, VNPT..<\/p>\n

Moreover, students with strong teaching or research abilities may work as Teaching Assistants (TAs) or Research Assistants (RAs) in the school\u2019s laboratory system, with remuneration up to VND 4 million per month and receive official certificates from the university, providing advantages when applying for scholarships to study abroad. Currently, the school is the sole institution implementing such programs within the university.<\/p>\n

Integrated Bachelor \u2019s-Master\u2019s Program:<\/strong>\u00a0Students can receive tuition fee waivers from the university and scholarships supporting postgraduate training from domestic and international corporations.<\/p>\n

Exchange Scholarships and Internship Opportunities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of the Elitech program, DS-AI invites international professors and experts to lecture regularly. The university also partners with reputable institutions in Europe, North America, and Japan, allowing students to participate in student exchanges and gain early exposure to international work environments. Example partner universities include the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg (OTH, Germany), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), National University of Singapore, Uppsala University (Sweden), The University of Aizu (Japan), Tokyo University of Technology (Japan), etc.<\/p>\n

The program also frequently welcomes international exchange students from Japan, Australia, Germany, Spain, South Korea, Indonesia, Myanmar, and more.<\/p>\n

Students can participate in internships during their studies, experiencing real working environments at over 200 partner enterprises, including many international companies based in Vietnam.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the university\u2019s alum network in Silicon Valley regularly organizes supporting and consulting activities to help students access exchange and internship opportunities at leading global technology corporations.<\/p>\n

STUDYING DURATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

The DS-AI program follows the bachelor (4 years) or integrated bachelor-master (5.5 years) model.
\nStudents can pursue graduate and doctoral studies in developed countries such as Finland, Japan, Germany, Australia, and the United States.<\/p>\n

PROGRAM CONTENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The curriculum is designed according to international standards, with lab practice time equivalent to theory class time.<\/p>\n

The program covers fundamental knowledge in data science, including mathematics, probability & statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, processing and representing big data, blockchain, industry-specific business knowledge, and subjects in innovation and entrepreneurship skills.<\/p>\n
